Disinfection and Antimicrobial Services
Disinfection is something we do as part of environmental cleanup work, not as a standalone marketing service. When a property has been through water damage, a sewage backup, a rodent infestation, a long vacancy or a hoarding situation, cleaning the surfaces is part of finishing the job properly.
Where Disinfection Fits
- After remediation. Once affected materials are removed, remaining hard surfaces and framing get cleaned and treated before anything is closed back up.
- Sewage and category three water losses. Contaminated material comes out, and what stays gets cleaned and treated.
- Hoarding and estate cleanouts. Kitchens, bathrooms and floors in a property that has been packed for years usually need real cleaning, not a wipe-down. See our hoarding and property cleanout page.
- Rodent and pest-related contamination. Droppings, nesting material and insulation come out first, then the surfaces are treated.
- Crawl spaces and basements. Usually alongside moisture control, because a damp crawl space will simply grow it all back.
How We Talk About Results
We use EPA-registered products according to their labels, including the dwell times the label requires, and we document what was applied and where. What we will not do is promise that a building is sterile or that anything is permanently protected. No contractor can honestly promise that, and the surface treatment matters far less than fixing the condition that caused the problem in the first place.
If the underlying issue is moisture, the answer is drainage and humidity, not spraying. If the underlying issue is a material that has to come out, it has to come out. We would rather tell you that up front.
